Rural Capacity Building Program Governing Council Holds Meeting
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan chaired a meeting of the Governing Council of the “Rural capacity building” program.
The Council approved the decision made by the evaluation commission regarding the international competition announced for the reconstruction of community water supply systems and irrigation networks in 31 communities of Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Lori, Tavush, Shirak, Syunik and Vayots Dzor and Syunik Marzes of Armenia under the “Infrastructure and rural funding support" program.
The meeting discussed and approved the decision made by the evaluation commission regarding the tender announced for technical supervision of construction of water supply systems in Aragatsotn, Tavush and Lori Marzes in 2016-2017, as well as for the technical supervision of construction and reconstruction of water supply systems and irrigation networks in Syunik, Vayots Dzor and Shirak Marzes in 2016-2017.
The Council decided put Horom, Tsovinar, Vardenik and Noratus villages on the list of communities eligible for reconstruction of water supply and irrigation systems under the “Infrastructure and rural funding support” program in 2016-2017.
In conclusion, the meeting approved a program of technical assistance to be implemented under the Rural Financing Component 4 (horticultural loans) subcomponent of the Rural Capacity Building program.
