Prime Minister Attends “Level Up” International Student Conference

On May 22, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended the “Level Up” international student conference, due on May 20-22 in Tsakhkadzor at the initiative of Armenia’s State Economic University Student Council and the Youth Foundation of Armenia.

Welcoming the participants, the Premier said to be pleased with the fact that the discussion of local and global economic topics and issues by students has become a tradition.

“It is a pleasure to see students from foreign countries involved in the conference this year. As the head of government, I would like to say that we appreciate any such professional discussion as may be useful in solving the problems facing our country and promoting economic development in Armenia,” Hovik Abrahamyan stated.

According to the Prime Minister, global economic realities are reflected in our economy. Exasperated by Armenia’s local problems, they are putting a heavy burden and great responsibility on the government’s shoulders.

“It is clear that we have the will and desire to redouble the efforts aimed at ensuring economic growth, self-sufficient and prosperous living conditions for our citizens. I understand that this three-day conference has focused on issues related to international economic relations, national competitiveness and a number of other topics. I am convinced that our well-educated and patriotic youth can come up with professional opinions and recommendations, making thereby a great contribution to the development of our State,” the Prime Minister noted.

After the meeting, Hovik Abrahamyan talked to the participants and answered their questions. The “Global economic challenges” conference is attended by about 100 students from 15 universities of 7 countries. During the three-day conference, the participants made presentations in 3 contest categories and delivered reports on international economic relations and ways of upgrading national competitiveness.
