PM Visits Physics-Mathematics School after Artashes Shahinyan at YSU
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited today the special physics-mathematics school after Artashes Shahinyan at the Yerevan State University. Accompanied by school director Haykaz Navasardian, the Premier walked round the school getting acquainted with the conditions available for study, current and future programs.
Hovik Abrahamyan visited the physics and chemistry laboratories, computer classes, talked to the students, saw the robotic devices manufactured by them, physical and chemical experiments, asked about their achievements and future programs. The Prime Minister praised the pupils for their physics-mathematics activities and wished them further success.
Representing the direction of the educational process, and the achievement, Haykaz Navasardyan noted that the institution hosts 10 Olympic circles and a robotic circle; many of the students are medalists of national and international competitions. Over the past 10 years, he best students were awarded the annual educational awards of the RA President, as well as scholarships and prizes.
The Director introduced the Premier to school building amenities, noting that due to the large number of children willing to attend the school, there is a need for its expansion. It was noted that the physics-mathematics school after Artashes Shahinyan has a branch in Stepanakert.
