Prime Minister Welcomes President of National Bank of Argentina
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received President of the National Bank of Argentina Carlos Melkonyan.
Welcoming the guest, the Premier said the traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and Argentina are developing dynamically, and efforts should be made to specifically activate bilateral trade and economic ties. Hovik Abrahamyan noted that the Motherland highly appreciates the achievements of our compatriots living abroad and thanked Mr Melkonyan for his activities in favor of all Armenians.
Thanking the Premier for high appreciation, the President of the National Bank of Argentina said he was glad to visit Homeland and deserve a warm welcome. Mr Melkonyan noted that highly respected in the host country, the vigorous and numerous Armenian community of Argentina plays an important role in the cause of strengthening and developing Armenian-Argentinean relations.
The parties further discussed the prospects of cooperation in the banking and financial spheres. Carlos Melkonyan said to be impressed by Armenia’s policy toward ensuring economic stability. In this context, the interlocutors stressed the importance of sharing knowledge and providing mutual support. The sides exchanged views on Armenia’s economic development, the process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other issues of mutual interest.
