PM Visits Anania Shirakatsi Seminary-Educational Complex in Yerevan
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited Yerevan’s Anania Shirakatsi seminary-educational complex to get acquainted with the amenities and educational programs.
During the tour, Seminary Director Ashot Alikhanyan gave details of the training process, acquisitions and development projects. He noted that the institution implements education in senior, middle, junior schools and elementary grades in the sphere of secondary education in line with the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) system. Its individual departments are conducting research in different directions.
Over 300 graduates have studied and are studying at prestigious universities worldwide; a large number of its students have won prizes in international and republican Olympiads. The seminary is also a full member of the International Schools «Round Square» Organization Association. Ashot Alikhanyan briefed the Prime Minister on the ongoing renovation work and the construction of a new sports complex.
Hovik Abrahamyan talked to college students and high school teachers to discuss with them issues related to education and professional development. The Prime Minister welcomed the educational activities and, on behalf of his government, expressed readiness to assist in the development of the college, if necessary.
