Prime Minister Receives Greece Ambassador to Armenia
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Greece Ambassador to Armenia Ioannis Taghis who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated Ambassador’s tenure-long activities in our country, which have contributed to the development and strengthening of bilateral political and economic relations. The Premier stressed the need for boosting bilateral economic relations and trade turnover, for which is there a lot of potential. In this context, Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of the Armenian-Greek intergovernmental commission.
Thanking the Prime Minister for close cooperation, Ioannis Taghis said bilateral relations have been on the rise in recent years. He expressed the hope that the Armenian-Greek cooperation will continue to develop and strengthen in various fields, including in a number of sectors of the economy.
Concerning the furtherance of Armenian-Greek relations, both sides noted the importance of reciprocated visits at various levels. The parties noted the prospects of expansion of cooperation in education, defense, tourism, agriculture and other spheres.
The interlocutors discussed a number of issues of Armenian-Greek relations. At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan wished the Ambassador every success in his future activities.
