PM Hovik Abrahamyan Holds Phone Conversation with IRI First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan had a phone conversation with First Vice President of Iran Es’haq Jahangiri.
The interlocutors highly assessed the relations between the two friendly nations, which continue to develop in an atmosphere of mutual trust. The parties went on to discuss a wide range of issues of further expansion and deepening of economic cooperation between Armenia and Iran.
Hovik Abrahamyan addressed Es’haq Jahangiri with a request to increase the volume of natural gas imports from Iran to Armenia given the fact that the supply of Russian natural gas to Armenia will be suspended in the period from 10 July to 10 August, 2016 in connection with the ongoing repairs of the damaged sections of the gas pipeline on the territory of Georgia. The Iranian side responded positively to Armenian Prime Minister’s request.
Hovik Abrahamyan and Es’haq Jahangiri took the opportunity to look at other issues of mutual interest.
