Prime Minister Receives Latvia Ambassador to Armenia
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received outgoing Latvian Ambassador to Armenia Ms Elita Gavele.
The Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for her tenure-long efforts aimed at strengthening the Armenian-Latvian relationship. Hovik Abrahamyan underscored the need to develop cooperation in all fields of mutual interest. Also, the Prime Minister stressed the need to boost bilateral trade turnover and economic ties. The Premier noted that the Armenian-Latvian intergovernmental commission should be more active in promoting economic exchanges between the two countries
Thankful for cooperation, Elita Gavele expressed the hope that bilateral ties would keep strengthening and expanding in various fields, including the economy. The Ambassador concurred in that the Armenian-Latvian intergovernmental commission had an important role to play in this respect.
Hovik Abrahamyan and Elita Gavele took the opportunity to discuss EU-Armenia interaction, as well as other issues of mutual interest. In conclusion, the Prime Minister wished the Ambassador every success in her future activities.
