PM Visits ASEU “Economist” Sport and Health Camp
On August 17, Armenia State Economics University (ASEU) Board Chairman, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited the University Student Council-initiated Economist sport and health camp in Dilijan, which will be hosting the Student Summer-2016 annual sports and cultural contest-festival on August 13-25.
Held under the motto of “We are Artsakh,” the contest-festival will be attended by teams bearing the names of NKR administrative districts. Within the framework of the Armenia Youth Foundation-supported program, squads representing the University’s 6 faculties will be competing in different sports and cultural events.
Hovik Abrahamyan toured the camp asking about the ongoing preparations for the contest-festival and the daily lives of students. The Prime Minister talked to the students and answered their questions which bore on his government’s priority programs, the proposed educational reform, the development of universities, etc.
Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of such activities that help strike new ties between students, promote healthy lifestyles and ensure youth recreation. Noting the importance of regular meetings with students, the Premier said they are an opportunity to take note of young people’s views, suggestions and approaches.
The Head of Government welcomed the fact that the event is held under a motto dedicated to Artsakh. In conclusion, after attending the final matches of volleyball and table tennis competitions, Hovik Abrahamyan handed in awards to the winners
