Welcoming the participants, the Premier said that during 14 years of existence, Baze has managed to bring together thousands of young people from Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora.
“The trinity of Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora strengthens our statehood and promotes national values and ideas. The Government keeps in focus youth issues. Our programs are meant not only to deal with short-term problems, but also to provide all necessary conditions and create a strong foundation for the further development of young people,” Hovik Abrahamyan said.
The Head of Government noted that the global political and economic developments are posing numerous threats, which proliferate swiftly and exercise a tangible impact. Youth has an important role to play in addressing these challenges, since strong is the nation that boasts well-educated and single-minded youth, concerned about the future of the State.
“Base-2016 is another opportunity to underscore the need for bringing together youth with highest sense of ethnic identity who are supposed to help develop our statehood. Following the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister met with the participants, talked with them and answered their questions, which bore on the Government’s economic policy, foreign economic relations, infrastructures development and the reforms underway in education, science and other fields of activity.
