Prime Minister Holds Consultation

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan chaired a consultative meeting on the draft Tax Code, attended by heads and representatives of the agencies concerned.

The Premier noted that numerous proposals relevant to the Draft had been received from MPs, international organizations and civil society, which should be discussed and considered in all detail before Parliament proceeds to the second reading.

During the exchange of views that followed, the speakers came up with a number of proposals and recommendations concerning specific provisions of the new Tax Code.

In conclusion, Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of holding extensive discussions on the draft Tax Code, which should take note of the proposals submitted by the stakeholders. According to the Prime Minister, the latter will help create a better tax system, provide a transparent and competitive business environment and increase Armenia’s investment attractiveness.
