PM Receives Armenian Architects and Engineers
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received members of the Union of Builders and the Union of Architects of Armenia and representatives of construction companies.
Stressing the need for bolstering the construction sector and architecture, the Prime Minister said to be looking forward to hearing from the meeting participants about such steps expected from the Government that might help address the problems faced in this area and attract investment.
Karen Karapetyan noted that Armenian architects and builders are highly respected all over the world and can help the Government revitalize the sector with their professional activity and suggestions.
“We must inculcate a culture where the minister and civil servant would be prompt and consistent in responding to indications coming from developers and engineers. As you are supposed to share responsibility for urban planning and engineering activities, civil servants should keep in touch with you and provide sustained feedback,” the Head of Government pointed out.
After briefing the Prime Minister on the ongoing programs and the existing bottlenecks, the guests came up with a number of suggestions and recommendations concerning, in particular, the improvement of the legislative and regulatory framework, the pricing in the construction sector, the rating of construction and design organizations, as well as other issues of topical interest.
