Russia-based Armenian businessmen issue statement on participation in Government’s business programs
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan who is in Russia on official visit has met with Russia-based Armenian businessmen.
The Premier gave the summary of his Cabinet’s 100-day activities and the reform process, highlighting the specific steps aimed at improving the investment environment. The Prime Minister stressed that the Government will ensure transparent, equal and competitive conditions for both domestic and foreign investors aimed at attracting foreign investment to Armenia.
At the same time, a number of investment projects for the development of the priority branches of the economy were introduced to the business circles.
At the end of the meeting, over three dozen Armenian businessmen in Russia issued a statement about their readiness to participate in the business projects and initiatives of the Government of Armenia.
Statement by Russia-based Entrepreneurs and Businessmen
We, the representatives of business and entrepreneurial circles of the Armenian Diaspora in the Russian Federation:
- Interested in improving the socio-economic situation in the Republic of Armenia and achieving progress in our historic homeland,
- Expressing our common desire and willingness to jointly endeavor through our energy, knowledge, resources and experience to ensure sustainable economic growth in Armenia in tune with internal and external challenges and threats,
- Acquainted with the results of 100 days of activity of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, as well as its long-term economic programs and reforms in the Republic of Armenia
WE DECLARE
1. We fully support the efforts made by the Armenian authorities headed by President Serzh Sargsyan and Prime Minister K. Karapetyan aimed at implementing drastic reforms in Armenia relying on the potential of all Armenians.
2. We share the goals and objectives of the reforms, which will help transform Armenia into a safe, fair, modern, intelligent and dynamically developing State.
3. Based on the principles of solidarity and the spirit of partnership of all Armenians, we express our readiness to possibly take an active part in the Armenian Government’s joint initiatives and business programs.
