Prime Minister Receives IRI Ambassador to Armenia
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi.
As they discussed a number of issues related to bilateral cooperation, the interlocutors highlighted the need to build on and expand economic ties. The sides expressed confidence that the trade turnover between the two countries would be promoted significantly through the launch of the free economic zone in Meghri and the establishment of Halal food service office in Armenia.
The Prime Minister and the Iranian Ambassador discussed the pace of joint investment projects, looking at the possibility of furthering cooperation in energy, agriculture, tourism, air transportations, information technologies and other areas.
Both sides expressed reciprocated interest in developing and deepening multilateral relations.
