PM Reviews Implementation of Reforms with UN Assistant Secretary-General
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan met with Magdy Martínez-Solimán, UN Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director of the Bureau for Policy and Program Support. Issues related to continued cooperation between the Center for Strategic Initiatives and UNDP were discussed at the meeting.
Karen Karapetyan thanked Magdy Martínez-Solimán for technical assistance provided to the Center for Strategic Initiatives and noted the importance of cooperation in the direction of implementing reforms, forming a vision, and increasing the international representation of the Republic of Armenia in various fields.
“The Center for Strategic Initiatives is the platform on which our tomorrow is to be developed, and we are interested in cooperating with the United Nations,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia said.
Magdy Martínez-Solimán expressed readiness to provide continued reform assistance to our country with a view to developing healthcare, public administration and other areas.
The UN Assistant Secretary-General highlighted the importance ever closer cooperation between the Government of Armenia, the relevant structures of the Diaspora and the United Nations.
Karen Karapetyan stressed that the Government of the Republic of Armenia is prepared to listen to and discuss any proposal regarding any sphere. “We are facing fundamental reforms in all spheres, and our top priority task is to increase efficiency. We realize where we will go and we have the will to implement our programs,” the Head of Government emphasized.
