Karen Karapetyan Familiarized with Grand Candy’s Development Projects
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan visited today Grand Candy Company. The Head of Government toured the premises getting familiar with the technology and production conditions in place.
The Prime Minister was briefed on Grand Candy’s main performance indicators and future plans. The proceeds of sales stood at AMD 23 billion in 2016. Exports rose to 1430 tons of confectionery due to a USD 9 million-worth investment last year. The company employs 3 thousand workers, with an ever growing number of seasonal jobs. The average monthly salary is AMD 160 thousand.
The company uses state-of-the-art technology and equipment. There is a modern quality control system installed at the factory. Karen Karapetyan was told that Grand Candy is expected to have a 100 percent growth in exports this year and, therefore, is set to found a new company with a view to operating at the supranational level.
The Premier stressed the importance of continued development of such large enterprises, consistent growth in production and exports and wished the company every success in the pursuit of their development projects.
