PM welcomes EEU-member States’ IT sphere supervisors
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received a delegation of IT sphere supervisors from Eurasian Economic Union-member States. The delegation arrived in Armenia to participate in a seminar organized by RA Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan.
Welcoming the delegation to our country, Prime Minister Karapetyan expressed conviction that the forum would give new impetus to the cooperation in the IT sector.
“We have jointly set up a club with strong potential as we attach great importance to the implementation of coordinated policies in the field of information technology and digitalization within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union,” the Head of Government said, wishing the participants effective work.
The guests thanked the Government of the Republic of Armenia for the initiative to hold a meeting in Armenia and a well-organized reception. They noted that such working meetings provide a good platform for discussing issues related to the IT sphere and shaping prerequisites for the development of economic growth in each EEU-member country and within the Union, as a whole.
The guests advised that the workshop was supposed to discuss issues related to digitalization and cooperation in the IT sphere, as well as the establishment of a coordinating body in each EEU-member State.
