Prime Minister, Serbian Ambassador Discuss Intensification of Economic Ties


Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Armenia Dušan Spasojević.

Wishing Dušan Spasojević every success in his responsible mission and stressing that Armenia is interested in deepening cooperation with Serbia, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that the Ambassador’s activities would help strengthen the friendly relations between our two countries. The Premier stressed the importance of trade and economic exchanges, expressing willingness to support any effort and initiative to that effect.

Thankful for Karen Karapetyan’s best wishes, the Ambassador stressed that the deeply-rooted ties of friendship between the two nations motivated him to give new impetus to Armenia-Serbia cooperation. Dušan Spasojević assured that he would do his utmost to promote and bolster bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister and the Serbian Ambassador exchanged views on the prospects of intensifying economic cooperation in bilateral and multilateral format. They looked at possibilities for liberalizing the visa regime between Armenia and Serbia, establishing direct air communications, developing business ties and cooperating in areas with strong economic potential.
