RA Prime Minister Attends Meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Government
The Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan-headed governmental delegation is paying a working visit to Kazan, Russian Federation, to attend the meetings of the CIS Heads of Government Council and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. The CIS Heads of Government Council’s narrow-format and enlarged meetings discussed issues related to the further development of economic cooperation.
After the CIS Heads of Government Council’s extended meeting, the heads of government signed a number of documents aimed at deepening cooperation in various fields between the CIS countries, including the action plan for the interstate program of CIS countries’ innovation cooperation up till the year 2020, a comprehensive action plan for implementation of the CIS program of priority measures under the transport safety strategy in 2017-2019.
The following international agreements were also signed: on cooperation in the fight against fake goods production and distribution, intellectual property protection, land surveying, field mapping, cadastre and a number of other areas.
It was decided that the next meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council will be held in November, 2017.
Later today, the Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan-headed RA government delegation attended am official reception hosted by RF Premier Dmitry Medvedev in honor of government delegations in attendance of the meetings of the CIS Heads of Government Council and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
