Karen Karapetyan Receives Eastern Partnership Special Envoys
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received a delegation of special envoys from the foreign ministries of EU-member States - Latvia, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia and Sweden, heaed by Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, Ambassador Dusan Dakho.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of cooperation with the European Union. At the envoys' request, Karen Karapetyan introduced his government’s priorities, reforms and programs. Highlighting the need to improve the business environment to attract investment, the Premier noted that the legal, tax and customs administration and other reforms will be kept in focus by the Government of Armenia. In this regard, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of exchange of experience.
The meeting touched upon the ongoing EU-Armenia cooperation, the joint efforts undertaken in the framework the Eastern Partnership program and other issues of mutual interest.
