PM Briefed on Progress in Kumayri Historic Center Rehabilitation Project
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan held a consultative meeting to review progress in Kumayri Historic Center Rehabilitation project.
The Premier was told that the Kumayri Revival non-public specialized contractual investment fund has already been registered and the bank accounts opening process is underway at this point of time. Investments are being attracted and assets purchased within the target site.
According to the officials, the project has aroused great interest among private investors. It was noted that the infrastructure development process is proceeding successfully and will be completed this autumn. The meeting also discussed issues related to the projected steps.
The Prime Minister instructed those responsible to possibly speed up the ongoing activities. Karen Karapetyan stressed the project’s importance as the key to promoting tourism in Gyumri so that the city could boast not only economic progress, but also a change in the atmosphere.
