RA Prime Minister, Lithuanian Ambassador Discuss Development of Bilateral Economic Ties
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia Erikas Petrikas.
Noting that strong ties of friendship have been established between the two countries, the Prime Minister said Armenia ready to deepen relations in all areas of mutual interest.
As they discussed issues of further development of Armenian-Lithuanian economic cooperation, the Prime Minister and the Lithuanian Ambassador expressed a shared concern that there is great untapped potential in this field, and effective steps need to be taken towards its implementation.
Mindful of the need to boost trade and economic exchanges, the interlocutors highlighted the role of the Armenian-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission, which is set to hold its second meeting this autumn in Yerevan. The parties touched upon the possibilities of organizing business forums, expanding cooperation and implementing programs in bilateral and multilateral formats.
Karen Karapetyan and Erikas Petrikas took the opportunity to exchange views on EU-Armenia relations and Armenia-Lithuania interaction within the EU framework.
