PM Receives ADB Regional Director
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received a delegation headed by Sean O’Sullivan, Director General of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the countries of the region.
Describing as quite impressive the record of bilateral cooperation with the ADB, the Premier noted that 25 programs worth USD 1.19 billion had been implemented in Armenia over the past few years. Karen Karapetyan stressed that the Armenian government is keen to implement joint programs in road construction, transport and energy sectors, to develop the capital market and promote cooperation between the ADB and Armenia’s private sector.
“We have a lot to change in the country and are open for cooperation with the Asian Development Bank,” Prime Minister Karapetyan pointed out.
Pleased with the current pace of infrastructures improvement-oriented projects, Sean O’Sullivan noted that they are currently working on the development of new programs. According to him, the ADB is ready to cooperate in the field of education, digitization of management and in other sectors. The meeting discussed other issues related to bilateral cooperation.
