Prime Minister hands high State awards on 26th anniversary of Armenia’s independence
During a ceremonious event held at the National Gallery of Armenia on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on behalf of RA President Serzh Sargsyan handed awards to several representatives of different spheres who have made significant contribution to the development of our country.
President Serzh Sargsyan signed decrees to confer upon a group of public figures, army and law enforcement officers high State awards, medals and orders of the Republic of Armenia, as well as honorary titles for valuable contribution to science, education, culture, information technologies, agriculture, urban development, transport and communications, fruitful work and promoting the cause of deepening and expanding Homeland-Diaspora linkages. The head of the government congratulated all the awardees on the occasion of Independence Day and high state awards, noting: “September 21 is our Independence Day, the day of our pride, which ushers in a new day of statehood. Today there are people in this hall who have made their contribution to the development of our country, everyone in their respective field with loyalty to a united country, anxiety and a sense of duty for promoting the development of the country.
It is a great honor and pleasure for me to congratulate you on the occasion of Independence Day and, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Armenia, express gratitude to you for the work you are doing and participate in the development and construction of our country.
