Emphasizing the high level of allied relations between Armenia and Russia, the Premier noted that the sides should not be satisfied with the achievements in the field of economic cooperation, and it is necessary to continue working actively to tap the full potential. Karen Karapetyan said to be pleased with the proceedings of the 6th Armenian-Russian interregional conference and the signing of cooperation agreements between the industrial enterprises of the two countries.

The Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia emphasized the importance of the forum, noting that the given format is a good opportunity for businesses to find partners, establish business contacts and deepen intergovernmental cooperation.

Touching upon the prospects for furtherance of Armenian-Russian trade and economic relations, the head of the Armenian government pointed out the great potential available for joint work, particularly in agriculture, machine building, hotel business and pharmacy. Karen Karapetyan highlighted the new opportunities offered by the free economic zone on the border with Iran.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the growth recorded in tourism, conditioned by the decision of the Armenian government to allow RF citizens to visit Armenia with their Russian passports and, at the same time, hailed the increased public awareness about the decision in Russia.
