Prime Minister attends festive events on Vanadzor Day










Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan partook in festive events dedicated to the Day of Vanadzor. The Prime Minister watched artifacts representing the culture and color of Vanadzor’s twin cities, visited the Vanadzor Fine Arts Museum, attended a festive concert in Tumanyan Square, talked to Vanadzor residents and congratulated them on the City Day.

Within the framework of the visit, Prime Minister Karapetyan was also present at the groundbreaking ceremony of the factories constructed in the Lori province by the Iranian Rad Sane Vashamir Group LLC. Rad Sune Vashamir Group LLC is an international company operating in Turkey, Thailand and the Russian Federation, which produces composite cylinders.

Rad Sane Vashamir Group LLC plans to implement an investment program in Lori Marz of Armenia. The total volume of investment will make about USD130 million, the number of employees (with infrastructure) up to 2000 people. Money will be invested in three directions: composite cylinders and carbon fiber production plants and construction of a compressor unit.

The composite cylinder plant’s construction is scheduled to start in October, 2017 and come to completion in April, 2018. USD20 million will be invested to create a total of 100 jobs.

The carbon production plant’s construction is due to begin in October, 2017 and come to completion in November, 2018. The volume of investment is USD80 million; the number of employees - 300.

The factories to be launched in the agribusiness sector shall deal with the production of dairy products (milk powder, cheese, butter), cattle breeding (production of meat), fruit processing (fruit powder production), as well as with the operation of slaughterhouse.

The project will start to be implemented in Mat, 2018 and finished in May, 2019. The volume of investment is USD30 million, the number of employees is 300-400.

The Prime Minister welcomed the Iranian company’s initiative to carry out such a large-scale investment program in our country, assuring that the Government is ready to assist them with any such issue as may arise during its implementation.

The Head of Government next called at Ttu Jur district area in Vanadzor to get acquainted with the proposal of turning it into an attractive tourist resort. The Premier was told that the Ttu Jur recreation area and Bosyan Street will be reconstructed under the program, with a public service facility to be built on Bosyan Street and an ethnographic reserve site established in the same area.

Karen Karapetyan highlighted the need for making consistent efforts to attract investors and implement the business project.

The Prime Minister’s next port of call was the former building of the registry office in Vanadzor. The Head of Government got acquainted with the opportunities of implementing an investment program here and discussed the issues with the stakeholders.

From here, Karen Karapetyan walked towards the Tumanyan Square in Vanadzor, where he inspected the garbage collection activities. The Premier urged the Mayor of Vanadzor to be more consistent in maintaining the city’s cleanliness and efficiently organize the garbage disposal operations.
At the end of his visit, Karen Karapetyan called at the Mother and Child Park to get acquainted with the results of reconstruction works.
