PM Receives Outgoing Romania Ambassador to Armenia
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Armenia Sorin Vasile who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country. Appreciating the Ambassador’s tenure-long efforts, Karen Karapetyan stressed the need for developing Armenian-Romanian relations, especially in the economic sphere. The head of the Armenian government attached importance to the role played by the Intergovernmental Commission in ensuring diversified economic exchanges, given the possibility of entering the Eurasian and Iranian markets through Armenia.
Noting that he was leaving our country with fondest memories, the Ambassador assured that he would try to promote the Armenian-Romanian relations in the future, too. Sorin Vasile said he had been closely following the government’s activities, its recent economic achievements and expressed conviction that the agreement signed with the EU would help Armenia become a good platform for cooperation between the European Union and the EAEU.
According to the Ambassador, Armenian products, especially agricultural commodities have great opportunities to enter the Romanian market, and consistent work is being carried out to that effect. In conclusion, Prime Minister Karapetyan thanked Sorin Vasile for his work and wished him every success in future activities.
