Rural Capacity Building, Infrastructure and Rural Financing Support Programs Council Holds Meeting
Chaired by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, the Rural Capacity Building, Infrastructure and Rural Financing Support Programs Governing Council held a regular meeting in the Office of Government.
The Council discussed and approved the annual budget and maintenance costs for 2018, as well as the 2017-2018 Procurement Plan for RA Government’s “Rural Economic Development Program Implementation Unit” State Institution and Rural Financing Facility.
It was reported that next year the drip irrigation system will be introduced in 16 communities of Armenia. Various programs will be implemented to develop intensive orchards, greenhouses, cooling farms, fruit-drying facilities and rural infrastructure nationwide.
The meeting also approved the decision of the Evaluation Commission regarding the tender for “Development of Financing Packages and Distribution Measures, Farmer Awareness, Agricultural and Financial Thematic Training” project within the framework of the Infrastructure and Rural Financing Support Program.
