Karen Karapetyan Meets with Estonian Prime Minister
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan had a meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Yuri Ratas in Davos.
The Prime Ministers touched upon the trends of economic development in the modern world, highlighting the role of electronic government and information technologies and the efforts in the field of digitization.
The Prime Minister of Estonia introduced his country’s rich experience, noting that Estonia has gone a long way in this direction, and they would be happy to share their experience.
“We are going to implement major projects in this field. We are interested in your experience and, therefore, we are keen to enhance cooperation and exchange best practices in this field,” Karen Karapetyan said.
Reference was also made to EU-Armenia cooperation and the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. In this context, Karen Karapetyan thanked Yuri Ratas for Estonia’s support in this matter. Karen Karapetyan presented Armenia’s economic development trends and macroeconomic indicators, stressing that the Armenian government is determined to continue the reforms launched in a number of spheres, and the current business and investment environment can be of interest to Estonia’s business circles.
