Karen Karapetyan Receives Turkmen Ambassador to Armenia

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhametniyaz Mashalov.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the furtherance and expansion of the Armenian-Turkmen economic relations, stressing that there is great untapped potential in this sphere.

Prime Minister Karapetyan and Ambassador Mashalov touched upon the implementation of the agreements reached between the two governments and expressed confidence that their implementation would give a new impetus to bilateral trade turnover.

The launch of Ashgabat-Yerevan-Frankfurt air flights was highly appreciated at the meeting. Muhametniyaz Mashalov said that the possibility of increasing their weekly number is being discussed at this point of time. In this context, Prime Minister Karapetyan suggested considering the possibility of implementing flights in other directions as well via Zvartnots airport.
