Today RA government commission on coordination of charitable programs has met, presided at by commission chairman S. Ter-Simonyan.
The commission examined 15 charitable programs. In particular, it approved the "Publishing of Armenian Old Manuscripts Album" program as implemented by the Holy See of Echmiadzin, the "Hayastan" Pan-Armenian Fund-implemented Children's Shooting School of Yerevan SNCO Project, design and cost estimation work regarding the repairs of the roofing of the secondary school of Dasht village, manufacturing, procurement and free installation of equipment for the secondary school of Aygek village, as well as design and cost estimation for reconstruction of Building B at the Arts School after Edward Edgaryan SNCO in Parakar village of Armavir marz, technical oversight and boiler installation at the boiler house of the swimming-pool of Gyumri town of Shirak marz and design-cost estimate work for the improvements of water supply in Shamakhian district of Dilijan town of Tavoush marz.
The purpose of the training program on modern information technologies as implemented by the National Fund for Science and High Technologies in Gyumri will be to provide 2 year's training to Gyumri-based young people with higher technical education. Another program carried out by "DAR" foundation of regional development and competitiveness will finance capital repairs, re-equipment and installation of teaching aids in School No.3 of Charentsavan town.
The meeting has also discussed and approved the "CASA" Swiss Humanitarian Fund-implemented reconstruction project for Gogaran Village Secondary School SNCO in Lori marz, World Vision International charity fund-implemented projects for the construction of Kindergarten No.2 in Talin, school playing-grounds in Dashtadem and Areg villages of Aragatsotni marz, roofing repairs for the village school in Azat community of Gegharkounik marz, Gyumri branch of "Solidarity between French Protestant Church and Armenia" charity-implemented "Gym-Hall Construction for Pyunik Invalids Union" and "Import, Use and Free Distribution of Freight" programs.
Tufenkyan charity fund-implemented "We Must Live" program will provide assistance to vulnerable households with two and more schoolchildren.
The commission has also examined a series of follow-up projects under the previously approved ones, as well as programs of import of charitable freight addressed to various organizations operational in Armenia.
