Today the Council on Women's Affairs under RA Prime Minister has met to review the activities carried out by the Government in the framework of the 2004-2010 national program for the improvement of women's status and enhancement of their role in the society for the implementation of the Action Plan adopted at the 4th International Conference on Women's Status held at Beijing in 1995, as well as to approve the work done by the task force for the preparation of Armenia's national report to be presented at the 49th Session of the UN Commission on Women's Status to be held at New York in March 2005. At the meeting, the Council was provided with information on the proceedings of and the decisions taken at the first international conference entitled "For the Advancement of Women
