Council on Combating Human Trafficking Holds First Meeting in Government
Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, the Council on Combating Human Trafficking held its first sitting in the Office of Government.
Greeting the participants, the Deputy Prime Minister wished the Council successful proceedings. To begin with, the Foreign Ministry representative reported on the activities aimed at curbing human trafficking and exploitation in the Republic of Armenia.
Then the international expert invited to the session presented the results of the Monitoring of the National Program on Combating Human Trafficking in the Republic of Armenia in 2016-2018. The expert singled out those issues that the Council should keep in focus while developing a new three-year program of activities.
Reference was made to the national program on combating human trafficking and exploitation in the Republic of Armenia in 2019-2021.
