Tigran Avinyan receives Katarina Mathernova
On September 20, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received a delegation led by Katarina Mathernova, European Commission Deputy Director General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the EU is one of the most important partners of Armenia, noting that the European delegation’s visit is a good opportunity to discuss ongoing programs and cooperation opportunities.
Thankful for the reception, Katarina Mathernova assured that the EU will continue to strongly back Armenia in implementing its ambitious reform program.
The interlocutors next referred to issues related to digitization and e-government, public administration reforms and energy efficiency.
Tigran Avinyan expressed gratitude for support in these areas, presented the Armenian government’s activities and the plans for the future. The parties looked at ways of deepening cooperation in each individual area and the possibility of launching new initiatives.
