Tigran Avinyan Meets with Georgian Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze
On October 22, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan met with Georgian Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze. The meeting was attended by Georgian MPs Ruslan Poghosyan and Samvel Manukyan.
The parties emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits and meetings for the consistent promotion of the Armenian-Georgian relations. They expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics in the development of political, trade and economic ties between the two countries.
Tigran Avinyan and Archil Talakvadze highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia. In this context, they referred to the efforts made by the friendship and cooperation groups operating in the parliaments of both countries. The parties appreciated the role played by the Armenian community of Georgia in terms of developing and expanding relations between two friendly peoples and countries.
At the request of the Georgian side, Tigran Avinyan introduced Armenia’s economic policy priorities and the ongoing public administration reform.
Issues related to regional economic programs were discussed during the meeting.
