Mher Grigoryan Attends Festive Reception on UAE Unification Day
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan attended a festive reception, held on the occasion of the national holiday of the United Arab Emirates - Unification Day. Mher Grigoryan delivered congratulatory remarks, in which he stated:

Dear diplomatic corps representatives,
Dear attendees,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I cordially congratulate the friendly people of the United Arab Emirates on their national holiday - Unification Day.
Over the past 48 years, the United Arab Emirates has been moving forward on the way to establishing interstate relations based on mutual respect and trust, as well as on a clear path of economic, scientific, educational and cultural development to become a champion of peace and tolerance in the region.
Initiated under Sheikh Zayed, the Armenia-UAE relations have always been distinguished by special warmth. We highly appreciate the friendly relations between our countries and peoples. The deepening of trade-economic and investment cooperation with the countries of the Persian Gulf has always been an important part of our agenda.
There is great development potential inherent in the relations between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, specifically in the economic sphere, the targeted use of which will promote mutually beneficial cooperation.
We view the United Arab Emirates as a bridge between Armenia and the Persian Gulf countries. At the same time, Armenia can become a favorable platform for the UAE to enter the big EAEU market.
The first session of the UAE-Armenia intergovernmental commission in May this year played an important role in the expansion and strengthening of economic relations between the two countries. The agreements reached during the session will add a strong momentum to our bilateral relations.
Armenia’s high-level participation in ExpoDubai-2020 will give fresh impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation.
We will welcome and support UAE-based capital’s active involvement in Armenia’s economy.
