Mher Grigoryan Receives Moody's Representatives
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan today received representatives of Moody’s International Rating Agency.
To begin with, the Deputy Premier hailed the rating process carried out by Moody’s, which represents the results of the reforms implemented in the most important areas and the current situation. Mher Grigoryan stressed that the analyses provided by Moody’s experts allow the Government to adjust its activities and outline the steps to take ahead.
Coming to Armenia’s reform agenda, Mher Grigoryan highlighted the current growth trends and the emerging opportunities for enhanced efficiency in the Government’s activities.
At the request of Moody’s experts, the Deputy Prime Minister dwelt on the main vectors of Armenia's foreign relations. Mher Grigoryan noted that as an EAEU-member country, which has signed the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the EU, Armenia can serve as a bridge between the two unions.
Education and science were mentioned among the main priorities for the coming years, while preventing the flight of innovative ideas was described as a strategic direction for the Government of Armenia. In this context, Mher Grigoryan highlighted the full development of the capital market, which is the number one strategic goal on the way to modernizing Armenia’s financial and economic sectors.
The Moody’s experts thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for comprehensive presentation of the situation in the country. Taking the opportunity, they referred to a number of international and regional issues.
