Mher Grigoryan Receives OECD Deputy Secretary-General
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Ludger Schukneht.
Welcoming the guest, the Deputy Premier noted the importance of constructive cooperation with the OECD. Mher Grigoryan introduced the ongoing and planned reforms in the field of tax administration and the steps aimed at improving the business environment.
Thankful for the reception, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development stressed that successful cooperation has been formed with Armenia, and his organization appreciates the Armenian government’s development-targeted efforts.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of Armenia’s accession to OECD’s inclusive platform (tax base destruction and transfer of profits) in February this year and the effective and timely implementation of the activities stipulated by it. In this connection, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that our country’s membership of the Platform had been stipulated in the CEPA roadmap.
The parties touched on the ongoing digitization process, the development of the capital market, the reduction in cash turnover and the opportunities to enhance Armenia’s investment attractiveness.
