Mher Grigoryan attends event co-hosted by Armenian Government and EU Delegation
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan today participated in an event co-hosted by the Government of Armenia and the EU Delegation, at which both sides introduced Armenia’s development partners to the roadmap for implementing the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the tools for EU support.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Head of EU Delegation, Ambassador Andrea Victorin delivered greeting remarks, highlighting the importance of events held in that format.
Thanking the EU for cooperation and assistance, the Deputy Prime Minister presented the activities carried out by the interagency commission acting under his supervision and reported back progress in CEPA implementation. The EU Ambassador stressed that the CEPA will assist our country with its modernization efforts and the reform agenda.
Sedrak Barseghyan, Head of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan’s Office, gave a brief overview of the CEPA. He touched on the reforms underway in specific areas, highlighting the importance of our partners’ assistance in this process.
Addressing the audience, Head of EU Delegation Cooperation Department Gonzalo Serrano De La Rosa spoke about EU assistance tools, dwelling on their specific features. After speeches, the speakers answered questions of interest to those present.
Summing up the event, the Deputy Premier reiterated the importance of meetings held in that format and considered them a good platform for discussing the Government’s reform agenda.
