Guidelines for fighting against the spread of coronavirus distributed to Armenian entrepreneurs
Despite the fact that the observance of sanitary and hygienic standards by public catering facilities, retail outlets and industrial premises calls for regular disinfection activities, considering the risk of the spread of coronavirus, the Food Safety Inspectorate has provided food chain operators with recommendations on necessary measures and actions to prevent the spread of the infection.
The recommendations suggest that hard surfaces, tools, equipment, door handles, cash registers should be be disinfected more frequently than usual. Premises should be ventilated; hand sanitizers and soaps should be available at relevant venues; ordinary towels must be replaced with disposable paper towels. Employees with symptoms of infection or sickness should be denied access to working areas.
The Food Safety Inspectorate (FSI) will oversee compliance.
Any failure to observe the above guidelines should be notified to the FSI hotline at 010-206040.
