The 21th measure aimed at easing the economic impact of coronavirus was launched

End date for applications is July 10

The 21st measure aimed at easing the economic impact of coronavirus was launched (provided for by No 963-L of 15.06.2020 of the Government of Armenia). The aim is to assist taxpayers who during this year’s March, April and May preserved jobs (had 2-100 jobs) and relevant salary funds, or whose salary fund reduced by not more than 5%.

The following entities are eligible for the program:
 those whose number of employees in May exceeds (is equal to) the number of employees declared for March and April, and
 those whose incomes calculated in terms of employees in May exceeds (or is equal to) 95% of calculated income size for March and April.

It should be noted that the number of employees in March, April and May and relevant income size will be calculated based on data reflected in monthly calculations of income tax and social payment for the relevant reporting periods. Thus:
1. calculations submitted to tax authority till April 30, 2020 (included) will be considered calculations for March 2020,
2. calculations submitted to tax authority till May 31, 2020 (included) will be considered calculations for April 2020,
3. calculations submitted to tax authority till June 30, 2020 (included) will be considered calculations for May 2020.

The sum of the following incomes reflected in the above calculations will be considered calculated incomes:

1. salary and other equal payments (column 1.6),
2. payment for work under civil and law contract (column 1.7),
3. other tax base (except for allowances) (column 1.8),
4. tax base reduction amount (column 1.9).

The number of employees will be based on the number of employees who ensured the listed incomes (greater than zero).

Those who meet the above requirements and have been considered beneficiaries, will get a notification regarding being considered a beneficiary of the program to their account on File Online system within a day after submitting a monthly calculation of income tax and social payment for May.

Taxpayers who receive the notification, can submit an application (under “cw” code) on File Online till July 10 (included) to receive the lump-sum grant.

In order to receive the amounts on time, the committee recommends paying attention to the following:
1. the bank account should belong to the beneficiary,
2. applications should not contain account numbers that are closed,
3. the accuracy of bank account number digits should be checked twice before submitting the applications.
