The import duty relief for certain agricultural and medical products will not apply starting July 1

The end date for the import relief for certain medical and agricultural goods is approaching. As SRC had announced earlier, as part of the measures aimed at preventing coronavirus, according to decision No 33 of 03.04.2020 of the EEC, certain goods were relieved from customs duty for the period from April 1 till June 30 if registered under the customs procedure “release for home consumption”.

The SRC reminds that on July 1 the above-mentioned decision will no longer have effect, and the import duties will be applied at the rates effective on the day of registering the declaration.

At the same time, the committee announces that the import duty relief for medical products specified in decisions of EEC No 21 of 16.03.2020 and No 34 of 03.04.2020 will be effective till September 30, 2020.
