Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan’s Office, Viva-MTS Sign Memorandum

On June 30, Head of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan’s Office Serge Varak Sisserian and General Manager of VivaCell-MTS (MTS Armenia CJSC) Ralph Yirikian signed a memorandum of understanding online. According to the memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in matters of reproductive health and demographic situation improvement through the use of the latest technologies.

Due to be implemented under the Memorandum, the “ Hello, Baby” project envisages modernizing the public health system in Armenia, improving the quality of and access to services and information provided in the area of reproductive health and the health of mothers and children through the use of the latest technologies, as well as promoting the culture of fact-based decision-making. The beneficiaries will be pregnant women, those who have problems with fertility and parents with children under the age of 6.

It is planned to develop and launch a website and a mobile application in an effort to provide personalized medical services and information to beneficiaries, send notifications, quick response and feedback. Public awareness campaigns related to the program will also be conducted. The initiative is being implemented as part of the Viva-MTS corporate social responsibility strategy.

The “Hello, Baby” project will be implemented by Armenia’s National Innovation Center for Sustainable Development, an initiative of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the United Nations, supported by the UN Development Program in Armenia.
