Mher Grigoryan Receives U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Lynne Tracy
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan today received U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Lynne Tracy. The meeting was attended by USAID Mission Director in Armenia David Hoffman.
Greeting the Ambassador, the Deputy Premier thanked the U.S. Government for humanitarian assistance provided to Armenia, highlighting the assistance aimed at countering the socio-economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Mher Grigoryan briefed the Ambassador on the situation following the war unleashed by Azerbaijan in September, as well as on the Government-approved support programs.
Ambassador Lynne Tracey assured that the American side is prepared to continue supporting both short-term programs and long-term strategic reforms. In this context, the judiciary reform was prioritized on both sides.
The USAID Armenia Mission Director presented the programs implemented by his organization. The interlocutors touched upon the development of U.S.-Armenia bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of the Strategic Dialogue Platform.
