Tigran Avinyan Receives Veloia’s Director for Armenia

On February 5, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan received Malika Genduri, Veolia’s Deputy Executive Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe, Director for Armenia.

The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated Veolia’s activities in Armenia, emphasizing the need for its continuity and the Government’s interest in attracting new investments. He stressed that the policy pursued in the water sector would be effective through close interaction between Veolia and the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Tigran Avinyan noted that a number of programs went unfinished last year due to COVID-19, which should be continued in the near future and bring concrete results. The Deputy Premier paid special attention to the need for improving the water system through effective management.

Thankful for the reception, Malika Genduri assured that all existing problems might be tackled through joint efforts, which in turn could help stabilize the agreement signed between the parties and implement it in full.

During the meeting reference was made to the applicable tariffs and to the quality of services offered to the population.
