Arsen Torosyan, PRC Ambassador Discuss Prospects for Developing Cooperation between Armenian and Chinese Governments
Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister Arsen Torosyan today met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia Fan Yong.
The interlocutors stressed the need for continued development of Armenian-Chinese friendly relations. Arsen Torosyan appreciated the Chinese government’s multifaceted assistance to Armenia, which covers infrastructure, education and healthcare. Noting that the Armenian government is keen to develop interaction with the Chinese side, Arsen Torosyan emphasized the need for intensified efforts aimed at expanding Chinese capital’s involvement in Armenia’s market.
Pleased with the ongoing bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Yong assured that the Chinese government is interested in the furtherance of multifaceted ties with Armenia. The Ambassador highlighted the inauguration of the Chinese school in Yerevan as a pledge for closer interaction between the Armenian and Chinese peoples which, in his words, may promote the knowledge of Chinese language in our country and can help expand exchanges in the field of education.
The parties explored ways of sharing know-how in the field of public administration, trade turnover, infrastructure projects, tourist flows, etc.
