Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine
On April 28, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan was vaccinated against the coronavirus with the AstraZeneca vaccine at the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia.
After being vaccinated, Tigran Avinyan urged the public at large not to give in to misinformation and erroneous rumors and consider vaccination as an imperative in the fight against the epidemic. He noted that he had specifically opted for the AstraZeneca jab due to misconceptions among the public about the vaccine’s efficiency.
The Acting Deputy Prime Minister assured that all necessary vaccination opportunities are currently available for Armenia’s population. Highlighting the need for the public to change their attitude towards vaccines, Tigran Avinyan stressed that vaccines may have a significant preventive impact.
The Acting Deputy Prime Minister was vaccinated in the framework of the Public Awareness Week, which calls on citizens to be vaccinated to help prevent the spread of the infection.
The AstraZeneca vaccine can be given to anyone over the age of 18 on a voluntary basis. Anyone wishing to be vaccinated can apply to the corresponding outpatient clinic, regardless of enrollment, get registered and vaccinated following instruction.
