Mher Grigoryan Receives Polish Ambassador

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Armenia Pawel Cieplak.

The Deputy Premier first thanked the Ambassador for Poland’s assistance to Armenia in the fight against the global pandemic. He briefed Pawel Cieplak on the epidemiological situation and the aftermath of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh. Taking the opportunity, Mher Grigoryan presented the Government’s efforts to defy the emerging humanitarian and socio-economic problems.

The parties explored ways of developing economic relations between the two countries. In this context, the Ambassador assured of the Polish government’s readiness to expand economic cooperation with Armenia.

Pawel Cieplak advised that a new batch of humanitarian assistance is due from Poland to fight COVID-19, which will arrive in Armenia in mid-April. The Ambassador informed about the assistance that will be provided to persons displaced from Artsakh through an international non-governmental organization.

A number of other issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
