Mher Grigoryan Receives Iranian Ambassador
Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan today received IRI Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Mher Grigoryan noted the importance of relations with friendly Iran and the ongoing multifaceted cooperation, stressing that Armenia and Iran have an extended agenda of bilateral relations.
Thankful for the reception, the Iranian Ambassador said Armenia is a friendly and brotherly country for Iran, which is pleased to see its many achievements. The interlocutors discussed the possible directions for the development of bilateral relations, touching on energy, transport and economy.
During the discussion, an exchange of views took place on expanding cooperation within the EAEU, as well as on the prospects for Iran to enter the EAEU market through Armenia, which is a member of the EAEU.
Mher Grigoryan and Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri stressed the great potential for the development of bilateral relations and the necessity of joint efforts in this direction. The opportunities for activating contacts between the respective private sectors were discussed during the meeting. Reference was also made to regional developments and the cvd vaccination campaign.
