Mher Grigoryan Holds Video Call with IFC Regional Vice President
Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan held a video call with Regional Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Georgina Baker.
Welcoming the partners, Mher Grigoryan hailed Armenia’s cooperation with IFC, especially during the pandemic-driven crisis and the post-war period.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the coronavirus vaccination process in Armenia. In that context, the Acting Deputy Prime Minister presented the government’s policy and the steps taken in that direction.
Possibilities for developing the capital market in Armenia and the role played by IFC in this process were discussed during the meeting. Reference was made to the participation of IFC in SME financing. The importance of IFC’s advisory services in terms of assessing the country’s investment potential was highlighted on both sides.
Mher Grigoryan and Georgina Baker discussed prospects for developing cooperation in the fields of energy, digitization and high technologies. They stressed the need to develop female entrepreneurship in Armenia and exchanged views on the efforts being made in this field.
